Elemental Dragons

Elemental Dragons are a dragon species based on the four elements of water, earth, fire, and air. Each element has its own focus and strengths.

  • Water: Elemental Dragons that are aligned with water are called Flow Dragons. Flow Dragons help with change and transitions, allowing one to move swiftly and comfortably through the ever-changing tides of life. They also bring about a very calming and relaxing energy to help you balance out emotions. Flow Dragons are wonderful buddies to have for those who are looking to incorporate more self-care and self-love into their daily routine.

  • Earth: Elemental Dragons that are aligned with earth are called Stable Dragons. Stable Dragons are exceptionally great at protections from a more "defense based” approach in contrast to their fire counterparts. They also focus on providing a steady and solid foundation for companions looking to grow in any aspect of their life. They help you find the resources necessary for you to gain a solid understanding before diving into something. This ensures that you won’t have to go back and correct any bad habits that you created.

  • Fire: Elemental Dragons that are aligned with fire are called Burn Dragons. Burn Dragons are wonderful protectors that take up a more active approach. They are definitely a more “offense is the best defense” type of protectors. Burn Dragons may need more house rules in place to prevent any unwanted incidents. Less fighting inclined Burn Dragons like to help their companions with change though in much more sudden way than Flow Dragons. While Flow Dragons can help you transition at your own pace, Burn Dragons are much more quick to push you on the necessary path immediately.

  • Air: Elemental Dragons that are aligned with air are called Billow Dragons. Billow Dragons are more inclined to help with aspects of the mind such as logical thinking. They also help with things like communication, both in our own physical world and with spirits. These dragons are great travel buddies to have when astral traveling or even when learning how to astral travel. If you’re looking to build specific skills, Billow Dragons are great teachers and motivators!

  • The realm in which the Elemental Dragons reside is very similar to the world in Avatar: The Last Airbender where each element serves to have its own country. Each element has their own leader as well, usually by way of the previous leader passing the title onto someone else or their next of kin stepping up in te case of an early unfortunate death. Each element has their own rules for visitors, but they seem amicable to all of them as long as the visitors are respectful to them. You’ll have an easier time visiting if a dragon of that element can escort and vouch for you.

    • Flow Dragons: Flow Dragons live in high forested areas with lots of rivers and other water landscapes. Flow Dragons are some of the easier dragons to visit due to mild temperatures that can suit anyone and drinking water always being readily available. As such, most inns and attractions within the realm are placed within Flow Dragon residences.

    • Stable Dragons: Stable Dragons live in the mountains. There is much less grass and more desert in places where they choose to reside. It is recommended for visitors to keep a container of water and food on them at all times as there is very few rest stops with these essentials. Escorts are available if needed.

    • Burn Dragons: Burn Dragons live in high heat and volcanic areas. It is recommended to be very prepared for these temperatures before visiting. Special clothing is available for visitors of the Burn Dragons, though they are not free. Burn Dragons live off a bartering system so value of items can very from dragon to dragon.

    • Billow Dragons: Billow Dragons live in very high up places, atop snow-capped mountains and even further. Young dragons who don’t yet know the specifics call their residence the “Kingdom in the Sky”. Visitors must be escorted by a Billow Dragon in order to visit the residences of Billow Dragons.

  • The Elemental Dragons do share core values across each element. The first and foremost being respect. Respect for each element as well as each individual is something very important and what keeps the species as a whole at peace. Respect also extends to others outside of the realm.

    • Flow Dragons: Flow Dragons have a culture heavily based on hospitality. Since many of the realm’s attractions are within their space, many Flow Dragons learn to be hospitable to visitors.

    • Stable Dragons: Stable Dragons have a culture relating to patience. Everything they do is always in regards to being prepared for something, even non-existent threats.

    • Burn Dragons: Burn Dragons have a culture based on Strength. At their core, Burn Dragons are protectors using their fighting skills and strength to show how powerful they can be.

    • Billow Dragons: Billow Dragons value curiosity above all else. They actively encourage skill building and problem solving for even the most miniscule things especially if it will lead to better quality of life for the species as a whole.

  • Each dragon regardless of element can resemble a western dragon or eastern dragon. There doesn’t seem to be any pros or cons to choosing either form, it’s merely a personal preference. All dragons are also rather large, reaching up to 100 feet long from head to tail on average. Each dragon is also capable of shifting to a humanoid form, but the majority of them do prefer to stay in their dragon forms. They only shift to their humanoid forms if it’s needed such as needing to get into a place where their larger dragon form would not be able to fit.

    • Flow Dragons: Flow Dragons are varying shades of blue and purple and often have “fins” that look like they’re flowing in water. They look rather majestic! Their scales shine as if reflecting water.

    • Stable Dragons: Stable Dragons are varying shades of tan and brown. They resemble the texture of dry earthen canyons and could easily camouflage as large boulder or small mountain range.

    • Burn Dragons: Burn Dragons look as if they’re made of magma and volcanic rock. However, they are quite safe to touch! They only become hot to the touch when wanting to attack or when feeling threatened enough to prepare to attack.

    • Billow Dragons: Billow Dragons are varying shades of white with accents of light gold. Many of them choose the western form of dragons as they love to show off their wings and make powerful gusts of wind with them.
