Camouflage Dragons
REVERSE ADOPTION OR PRECONJURE ONLY
Camouflage Dragons are known to be extremely cunning, using their size, power, and ability to shift their colors to get a job done. Their power and abilities come from their scales, which only hold a fraction of their power. Even so, each scale is extremely powerful if you know how to use them.
Those Camouflage Dragons looking for a companion are highly dedicated to helping their chosen companion by teaching them how to use these scales for their own benefit. There are several different uses, including wish granting and fortune telling. They have many more uses, but they are exclusive to physically having the scales with you.

Due to poaching in the ancient past, the Camouflage Dragons decided to leave the realm they originated from entirely. Instead, they chose to disperse throughout the astral to prevent extinction. There is no preference for where the Camouflage Dragons decide to live in the astral. It is all based on personal preference.
Despite the vast distances between each dragon, they’re all still able to communicate with each other using telepathy. This is very useful in case a meet up is necessary as is the case with mating seasons. They occur at a different place every time to make sure that no one could be waiting to ambush them during this mass gathering.

Camouflage Dragons are very solitary and protective individuals. You’ll hardly see them get close to their own species, let alone others. While they’re not opposed to creating connections, it takes time for them to trust others due to ancient history that led to the Camouflage Dragons’ endangerment. Even telepathic communications between Camouflage Dragons was discouraged unless absolutely necessary. This is a way of thinking that seems to be slowly phasing out as the numbers of the Camouflage Dragons grow.
For now, the only time Camouflage Dragons can be seen together at a large scale is during mating season. Each mating season takes place at a different location at each occurrence to prevent being hunted. Once mating season is over, the Camouflage Dragons disperse again. Mothers will nurse their new young but encourage them to leave and find their own space as soon as possible.
It is uncommon for mothers to reconnect with their young, but not entirely impossible. As the numbers of the Camouflage Dragons increases, the solitude of the Dragons decreases. However, it will still be highly unlikely for them to have big communities in the same place for a long time. Small nomadic groups are currently being tested for longevity.

All Camouflage Dragons have a deep color overlaid with a holographic sheen. They all take the form of Eastern Dragons, where they’re very long and “noodle-like.” Some have large wings, while others don’t. It doesn’t affect their ability to fly if they don’t have these wings. The wings seem to be purely for aesthetic purposes. More combat-inclined individuals often use the wings as weapons, such as creating large gusts of wind or smacking others with them.
